Italian crane manufacturer Locatelli is to launch a new 100 tonne Rough Terrain crane – the Gril 110.100 at Intermat next week. Currently the company’s largest Rough Terrain is the 80 tonne Gril 87.80. Not Locatelli's nomenclature system uses the maxium capacity in US tons, followed by metric tonnes - this 110 tons in North America and 100 tonnes in most other markets. The new Locatelli Gril 110.100 We have not yet seen a specification sheet, but the new two axle crane, features a five section 47 metre main boom, a new easy to use ‘Locasystem’ Load Moment Indicator with 10 inch touch screen, variable outrigger settings, including asymmetric set up, and a new generation wider and more comfortable cab with standard electric climate control system. The maximum travel speed is 30kph. The company claims that the new crane will be the “strongest heavy duty crane ever seen in the capacity of 110 tones, with the best lifting charts in its class”.
