Bhandara (Maharashtra): In a scathing attack on Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray Monday said India lost the 2023 World Cup because of the former’s love for his son.
Amit Shah’s son Jay Shah is the Secretary of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). India was unbeaten when it met with Australia in the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Final match played at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Gujarat.
PM Modi himself was present to watch the Cricket World Cup Final amid the huge expectations that India will clinch the trophy. The host however lost the title to the Kangaroos.
After the defeat, some serious allegations were made against Jay Shah – the BCCI Secretary and Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s son.
“India lost the World Cup Final because of Amit Shah's love for his son. I have not shown love for my son the way Shah did", Uddhav Thackeray, who was in Bhandara to campaign for the party’s candidate contesting the 2024 Parliament Elections, said.
Thackeray was responding to Amit Shah, who while campaigning in Bhandara Sunday, said Shiv Sena split because of Uddhav Thackeray’s love for his son and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) met with the similar fate because of Sharad Pawar’s affection towards his daughter.
In an equally strong scathing attack on PM Modi, Uddhav Thackeray raised afresh the questions about the authenticity of Prime Minister Modi’s degree.
“Narendra Modi said that our Shiv Sena is duplicate. I want to tell him that the Shiv Sena is not his College Degree”, Thackeray said while campaigning two days ago in Boisar.
Thackeray was responding to PM Modi who while campaigning in Maharashtra had said Shiv Sena (UBT) is duplicate and fake whereas the one led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Ekntah Shine is original.
PM Modi claims he is a graduate in ‘Entire Political Science’. Critics however say there is no such course run by any of the universities in India.
Voting in the Bhandara – Gondiya Lok Sabha Constituency will be held in the first phase of the 2024 Parliament elections on April 19, 2024. Counting of votes will be held on June 04, 2024.
Maharshtra has a total of 48 Lok Sabha seats. While Congress, NCP (Sharad Pawar) and Shiv Sena (UBT) are contesting the 2024 elections together, BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) and NCP (Ajit Pawar) have formed their own alliance to contest the national polls being held to elect the 18th Lok Sabha.
