An image of the rumoured strip for the 2024/25 campaign has been doing the rounds on social media, with Gooners giving it their seal of approval.

The shirt features a cannon in place of the Arsenal badge in a nod to the north London side's past, whose kits from the late 1960s until 1990 were adorned with the same symbol.

Fans will be familiar with the famous design, with the cannon logo having been on display in each of their third kits since the 2021/22 campaign.

However, if the picture is indeed legitimate, this will be the first time in 34 years that Arsenal's home shirt will boast the cannon.

The shirt is reminiscent of the 1988-90 home kit, which contained white sleeves and three Adidas stripes running down from the shoulder.

Lauding the new-look design of the leaked image, one fan on X posted, 'Love the cannon, followed by the heart-eyes emoji.

Another chimed in, 'The kit looks quite good, the cannon on the chest adds to the appeal,' adding a fire emoji to emphasise their appreciation.

A third added: "Cannon on the home shirt is genuinely world class. Huge huge fan of that."
