U16 Alpine skier Logan Grosdidier earned the title of national champion earlier this month in Vail while competing for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club from March 31 to April 4.

A full week of events led to Grosdidier emerging as the undisputed champion, winning four gold medals across Super G, giant slalom, slalom and the team parallel giant slalom, while also taking seventh in the SkillsQuest Assessment.

Despite the warmer weather, the race venue in Vail remained in pristine condition for athletes to compete on. Joining Grosdidier at the U16 Alpine National Championships were Caley Goforth, Bella Fisher and Matthew Kafka.

Goforth held solid consistency throughout the week, finishing in the top 10 of every race. Her top performances came in the giant slalom and slalom, where she finished seventh and eighth respectively. She also took seventh in the U16 National Championship series overall.

Fisher earned a solid 21st-place finish in the girls slalom, while Matthew Kafka took 14th for the boys. He also placed fifth in the Skills Quest Assessment to close out a strong season of skiing.
