Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 845.12 points down at 73399.78 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Swarnsarita Gems(down 14.70 per cent), Chandra Bhagat Pharm(down 11.14 per cent), Modern Shares(down 10.93 per cent), Ravileela Gran(down 10.82 per cent) and Ras Resorts(down 10.74 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 6 stocks closed in the green, while 44 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 246.91 points down at 22272.5.
On the BSE, Metal Coatings, CMI Ltd, Popular Vehicles, Mangalam Drugs and SRM Contractors hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Deco-Mica Ltd, Senco Gold, Ashiana Housing, Lotus Chocolate and Selan Expl Tech touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
