The untitled project has reportedly hit a financial roadblock and will no longer begin in Summer 2024, as planned originally. The film, envisioned as a grand action thriller set against the backdrop of politics and gang wars, requires substantial funding that currently doesn't align with their studio partner's budget.
Script revision underway amid budgetary concerns
In response to the financial constraints, director Dhar is reportedly revising the script and scaling back some action scenes to fit within a specific budget. An insider told Bollywood Hungama, "The market is not lucrative as the digital streaming market has come down in the last 2 years." "With films not fetching the requisite value of digital rights, the studios have asked a lot of directors to rework their budgets."
