Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower on Monday at 11:05AM

Dodla Dairy Ltd.(up 1.52%), Vadilal Industries Ltd.(up 1.27%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.75%) and Parag Milk Foods Ltd.(up 0.15%) were among the top gainers.

Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(down 3.48%), Sheetal Cool Products Ltd.(down 2.34%), Umang Dairies Ltd.(down 2.31%), Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd.(down 2.19%), Hindustan Foods Ltd.(down 2.07%), LT Foods Ltd.(down 1.94%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.89%), Emami Ltd.(down 1.88%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.85%) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.68%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 111.5 points down at 22407.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 397.89 points at 73847.01 at around 11:05AM.

Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 4.39%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 4.27%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 0.95%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 0.88%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.75%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 0.63%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.27%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 0.23%) and Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.22%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.85%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.68%), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.65%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.56%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.51%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.5%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.39%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.35%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.29%) and Wipro Ltd.(down 1.22%) were trading in the red.
