Vasco: The BJP’s manifesto has been made for the common man, ensuring them houses, toilet facilities, etc, said former South Goa MP and NRI commissioner Narendra Sawaikar on Monday.

He accompanied the South Goa BJP Lok Sabha candidate Pallavi Dempo on her campaign tour of the Vasco constituency on Monday, which saw Dempo visiting the main market at Vasco and interacting with small-time entrepreneurs and citizens.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given Vasco so many things, including a state-of-the-art railway station and cruise terminal, among others. This infrastructure will bring tourists to the state. Tourism will help the market expand, and the money will come into your pockets,” said Sawaikar, adding that if this has to be realised, then it is important to bring Modi back for the third time.

“Modi is the only option for the nation,” he said.

Sawaikar said that, on election day, people must not go on vacation and must instead come out and vote.

Dempo was also accompanied by Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, Poriem MLA Deviya Rane, and others.

She met motorcycle pilots, vendors at the municipal market, and people at the Ram temple on Mangor Hill. She urged people to vote for the BJP and heard their grievances.

“Dempo will file her nomination for the seat on Wednesday, after which her official campaign will start,” said Sawaikar.
