So much for the greatest title race in years. The fix was in all along. Liverpool and Arsenal hit the wall yesterday, but don’t deride them as bottlers. They’re simply bowing to inevitability. Manchester City were always to going win it.
The predictions of an old-fashioned, down-to-the-wire finale were just a fantasy. Just something to take the bad look off the greatest rule-breakers in English football history winning again.
