IPL 2024: Shah Rukh Khan wins hearts as he picks up discarded Kolkata Knight Riders flags from seats after KKR Vs Lucknow Super Giants match

Bollywood’s ‘King’ Shah Rukh Khan, owner of the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), recently won hearts with a thoughtful gesture at Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata. After a cricket match where KKR faced the Lucknow Super Giants, Shah Rukh was spotted picking up discarded KKR flags from the VIP section seats and the floor. A fan captured this act on video, showing Shah Rukh Khan collecting the flags and handing them to his bodyguard, much to the delight of onlooking fans who cheered and called out his name. In response, the Bollywood star blew a flying kiss to the crowd, further endearing himself to his fans.

The match ended successfully for KKR, which secured an eight-wicket victory over the Lucknow Super Giants, placing them second in the league with four wins and one loss out of five matches, earning them a total of eight points. Meanwhile, the Lucknow team is in fifth place, having won three of their six matches.

During the match, Shah Rukh’s presence was a major highlight. Dressed casually in a purple KKR T-shirt and black pants, and sporting a messy hairdo, he not only watched the game but also took the time to meet players and fans on the pitch afterwards. His daughter Suhana Khan and younger son AbRam, along with Suhana's close friend and actor Ananya Panday, were also in attendance, cheering for KKR. They shared their experiences and some pics from the event on social media, contributing to the festive atmosphere.

Earlier in the month, Shah Rukh had shown similar enthusiasm when KKR defeated the Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam. He personally congratulated the players, sharing hugs and even planting a kiss on Rishabh Pant's head, showing his affection and support for the team.

Shah Rukh Khan, who was last seen in the movie 'Dunki' released in December 2023, is yet to announce his next acting project.
