Become a patron today and browse ad-free :D

Can't complain for a free service now. They doing what they have to do to keep paying the bills.

I use Firefox, and I have disabled ad-block for techenclave. But I still dont see any ads at all.

I'm not complaining but for me it looks like sudden change, that's all. Video ads is really shit though.

google ads. even i've seen some video ads sometimes but just ignore it.

Does Google pay for the Ads shown even when one doesn't click on any?

Ads are fine, make them a bit discreet? The new ones are bit intrusive and often make us think we have reached the end of a thread.

Yes and No. Payouts are per impressions based on type of ads (finance, fashion pay more usually) and clickthrough rate for that category. So not clicking reduces the payout rate but the payout isn't calculated on per click.

Is this TE or MSN/Speedtestdotnet?
Well, it's 2024 and everyone should have a DNS based ad-blocker.
But I think it's better that everyone doesn't have it because then companies would find better ways to bypass that like youtube which delivers ads through same domains as content.

Easy way is to use uBlock origin on browser.

This is indeed a BAD decision and looks like CHEAP or scammy website. Remind me of when I'd to find real download button among 100s of them on some of gorgeous website.

Had whitelisted TE because there were only 1-2 banner ads and wanted to support the forum. I guess time to remove from whitelist!
I had whitelisted for same reasons. But I have yet to see any ads at all on this website.

C'mon TE shoot up those sweet succulent ads straight up my optics. I wanted you to.

I'm not sure if it's a conscious decision to increase the display of ads, or some setting gone rogue. I'm also not seeing more than a couple of ads per page.

Same here I don't use adblock and ads seems reasonable to me...

Guys if too many ads try clicking the X button on the ad to remove it and Google maybe learns to reduce the ads they show you.
