YVEA’s 2024 board nomination process open
Yampa Valley Electric Association has opened the 2024 board nomination process.
By voting for individuals who serve on the YVEA board, customers can have a voice in the way the electric cooperative is run. The nine-person YVEA board is tasked with determining the association’s policies and direction. Each board member serves a three-year term.
A nomination for director may be made only by written petition signed by at least 15 members of the association. The nominating petition and director qualification affidavit is available at yvea.com/about-us/annual-meeting/ or can be picked up at the YVEA offices in Steamboat Springs or Craig.
Petitions are due back to Larissa Rock at YVEA by 4 p.m. April 26. Director Districts that are up for election in 2024 include District 1 (Baggs and Savery, Wyoming: Glynda Sheehan), District 8 (Steamboat Springs: Scott McGill) and District 9 (Yampa, Toponas and Bond: Ken Rogers).
