Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Bharti Hexacom(Rs. 4227.41 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 3122.67 crore), RIL(Rs. 2294.46 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 1956.24 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1831.39 crore), TCS(Rs. 1737.84 crore), CDSL(Rs. 1607.51 crore), Vedanta (Rs. 1468.00 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 1434.43 crore) and ICICI Bank(Rs. 1347.78 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 234.4 points down at 22519.4, while BSE Sensex fell 793.25 points to 74244.9.

In the Nifty index, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.66 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.50 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.43 per cent) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 0.37 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 4.00 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 3.29 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.59 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 2.48 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 2.32 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
