Mumbai : A team from the Customs Department conducted searches on passengers at Mumbai International Airport on Thursday night. During the search, 8 kg of gold worth Rs 4.69 crore was recovered, which was hidden. The department arrested 11 accused passengers. These include two foreign nationals.

The department officials said that the accused arrested had hidden the gold in rings shaped like rackets, wax, radium plated wire, buckle, washer. In addition, a total of 6.11 kg of gold, $20,000 and mobile phones were seized in separate operations on Monday.
