None of us know everything about our colleagues, bosses or employees, but according to a recent Red C poll, almost half (48pc) of neurodivergent people in Ireland have not disclosed their condition at work.
According to Neurodiversity Ireland, the term ‘neurodiversity’ was coined to help fight the stigma against autistic people and those with ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia. But with almost one in 10 adults identifying as being neurodivergent, just one in five of those who are working feel their condition is or would be supported in the workplace — and this is why so many feel unable to reveal their true selves.
