Amara Hotels & Resorts is excited to reveal a complete brand transformation for its two premier Singapore destinations: Amara Singapore and Amara Sanctuary Sentosa. This ambitious redesign, crafted to meet the changing tastes of modern travelers, is focused on creating authentic connections, unforgettable moments, and personalized environments. The refreshed strategy will unveil a fresh lifestyle vision in the hospitality realm, highlighting modern sophistication, luxurious interiors, and eco-conscious travel as the core values uniting these properties.

For 38 years, Amara Singapore has stood as a heritage landmark at the heart of Tanjong Pagar. Starting its phased renovation in October 2023, the property aims to reveal its complete transformation by September 2024. Teaming up with the renowned hospitality design firm Studio HBA, a division of Hirsch Bedner Associates, Amara Singapore is reimagining itself as the vibrant social hub of the neighborhood, resonating with the city’s lively spirit. The extensive refurbishment includes the introduction of an all-new Lobby Bar that adapts to the day’s rhythm, and a reimagined Cafe Oriental that blends biophilic design with a modern take on traditional hawker stalls. All 389 rooms at Amara Singapore, along with facilities like event venues, will undergo sophisticated enhancements, exuding a refined ambiance inspired by the terracotta roofs of the surrounding preserved Shophouses and the heritage rubber fig tree located near Duxton Plain Park.

Simultaneously, Amara Sanctuary Sentosa, the beachside oasis, is set to refresh its suites, villas, and communal areas, with completion expected in mid-2024. Collaborating with architecture atelier FARM, this tranquil sanctuary—accentuated by contemporary design—invites guests to deepen their connection with the island’s serene scenery and experience rejuvenation. The newly transformed spaces foster a harmonious interaction between guests and nature, guided by a design philosophy focused on well-being and environmental stewardship, blending local elements with the tranquility of the natural surroundings.

In mid-2024, Amara Singapore and Amara Sanctuary Sentosa are set to reveal their updated designs, accompanied by a range of fresh brand experiences by the end of the year.
