Steven Gerrard was the toughest opponent to play against - he could do everything.

That is the opinion of Cesc Fabregas, who enjoyed many battles with in the middle of the park during his Premier League career.

During his time at Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona, Fabregas came up against the world's elite, which includes Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

But with the pair both forwards, Fabregas opted to name a player he regularly tussled for the ball with in central midfield - Gerrard.

Speaking of the Reds icon, who he played against for both the Gunners and the Blues, he told SPORTBible: "I always felt he had everything in his locker.

"He could dictate play, he could score goals, do assists, make runs in behind. Offensively he was very strong.
