Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 6.01%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(up 3.91%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.28%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.12%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.80%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 1.77%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(up 1.63%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.60%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.44%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.41%) stood among the top gainers.
Krishana Phoschem Ltd.(down 1.26%), Rama Phosphates Ltd.(down 0.87%) and Bohra Industries Ltd.(down 0.49%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 111.05 points up at 22753.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 354.45 points at 75038.15.
Coal India Ltd.(up 3.76%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 3.25%), UPL Ltd.(up 2.95%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 2.55%), ITC Ltd.(up 2.49%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.46%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 2.08%), State Bank of India(up 1.95%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.76%) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.57%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.97%), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.89%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.74%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.6%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 0.85%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.79%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.71%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.6%), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.58%) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.48%) closed in the red.
