Namashi was speaking to "Celebrania Studios" for their podcast where he said: "He is good, health bilkul theek hai, shooting bhi shuru ho chuki hai. I was tensed because of his ill heath but when I spoke with him about it then he scolded me, so I realised that everything is okay, as daant padna matlab sab theek hai."
During the course of the interaction, Namashi Chakraborty revealed that he always gets scolded by his dad. Namashi, who has three other siblings Mahaakshay, Dishani and Ushmey, also said that they are very friendly with their parents and that they don't call Mithun-da dad or papa but address him by his name.
Namashi, who is himself an actor, said: "BTW we don't call him dad, we address him by his name "Mithun" and that's how it has been for all four of us. We are all friends. I think daddy asked us to call him Mithun and not papa."
Mithun Chakraborty was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kolkata in February this year after he had complained on chest pain during a shoot.
He was later being treated for Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (stroke) of the brain.
Namashi also talked about his three favourite movies of his famous dad: "Disco Dancer, Pyar Jhukta Nahi and Agneepath."
Namashi said he is mesmerised by his father not as an actor but as a human being how he is with their mother and how he treats people.
Talking about his fond memories with his father Mithun Chakraborty, Namashi said he hardly saw his father during his early childhood as he was a busy man at that time and it was only after decline in 2001 that he got to spend more time with him.
"I haven't seen my dad much during my early childhood as papa would do 4 shifts in 1992. So at that time that was dad's peak era. That's when we shifted to Ooty and started our hotel business there. I would only see him in the morning and then by the time he returned I would be in my bed." I built memories with my dad after 2001 when he reduced his work hours when he was going through a decline and that's when I realised he is my father," said Namashi.
Namashi said his father loves to cook mutton, fish, chicken and he is a great cook. He said they are a huge dog family and has 100 dogs. He said "it was a great childhood."
Namashi said for his father success means "the kind of food we eat".
