Obituary: Ryan Murray

January 1, 1976 – March 27, 2024

Ryan Murray, of Gypsum, Colorado, passed away after a fight with cancer on March 27. He was 48. Ryan is preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his wife and three sons, his parents, his two sisters and their families, and countless friends.

A memorial will be planned for late spring. 

Ryan grew up in San Diego, CA, attended culinary school in San Francisco, and moved to the mountains of Colorado to pursue his passions for the outdoors, great food, and close-knit community. 

Ryan’s enthusiasm and dedication were evident whether he was learning a new hobby, having adventures with his family, or serving up coffee and conversation at the Red Canyon Cafe in Eagle. Anyone who was lucky enough to know him experienced his contagious humor and generous personality, and he will be deeply missed.
