Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Gland Pharma(Rs. 2510.66 crore), Exide Inds.(Rs. 2277.96 crore), Hind Copper(Rs. 2138.43 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1693.27 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 1599.48 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1414.52 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1360.41 crore), Axis Bank(Rs. 1231.68 crore), SAIL(Rs. 1110.67 crore) and Tata Steel(Rs. 1070.39 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 23.55 points down at 22642.75, while BSE Sensex fell 58.8 points to 74683.7.

In the Nifty index, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 3.13 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.05 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.84 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(up 1.23 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.86 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.69 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.60 per cent), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 1.51 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
