We’ve all seen the footage and read the headlines regarding the housing crisis, but according to Focus Ireland, recent figures from the Department of Housing reveal that over 13,500 people in Ireland were in emergency accommodation in January of this year.

There are many reasons why people end up without a home to call their own and the situation can affect people of all ages, genders and backgrounds. Also, being homeless can mean different things to different people, as Keile Sheridan Odanza can attest to.
