MUMBAI: These days, Karan Johar uses social media to post cryptic posts frequently. The director took potshots at people who had operations earlier this week. This time, loyalty is the key issue. In a post shared to his Instagram Stories, the director compared loyalty to Birkin.

There was a big waiting list for loyalty, he teased. “Loyalty is like a Birkin…. It has a long waiting list….” he posted. It's unclear what sparked the post, yet the comparison was unique.

This week, Karan made fun of people who use fillers. According to him, fillers might alter a person's outer look but not their character or personality.

“Fillers laga lo fulfilment nahin milti… Make up laga lo umar hai ghat thi. Karlo jitna bhi Botox, lagoge jaise madhumakkhi ne kaat liya… Naak badalne se gandh itar nahi banti. Going under the knife se exterior badal bhi jaaye… Lekin meri jaan… Fitrat nahi badalti (Putting fillers doesn’t bring fulfillment. Applying makeup reduces age. No matter how much Botox you do, you’ll look like a bee has stung you. Changing the nose doesn’t change the bad smell. Going under the knife will only change your exterior and not your nature),” Karan wrote on his Instagram Stories.

While we wait for him to shed more light on these statements, his project with Salman Khan has been making headlines. A source told the popular news portal that there have been repeated delays in the film’s making which has led to Salman suggesting Karan to move on from the film.

According to the report, a bystander revealed, “Bhai said, ‘Destiny doesn’t want this film to happen, so let’s move on.’ Karan is exploring newer ideas for a collaboration with Salman.”

However, the article published by the popular news portal states that the Salman Khan and Karan Johar movie is still on the right path, with filming scheduled to begin in 2025.

The entertainment website cited an insider who stated, “The Bull’ will most likely go on floors in 2025. The film has gone back to the writing room and the script is being worked up, which is why there is a delay. Earlier, it was supposed to go on floors this year and it was eyeing Eid 2025 release.”
