Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Exide Inds.(Rs. 2711.02 crore), Adani Ports SEZ(Rs. 1896.15 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1584.15 crore), Voltas(Rs. 1438.19 crore), RIL(Rs. 1240.10 crore), Jio Financial Servic(Rs. 1224.37 crore), Bandhan Bank(Rs. 1186.72 crore), GAIL(Rs. 1112.29 crore), Cochin Shipyard(Rs. 1072.94 crore) and Indian Renewable(Rs. 1046.81 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 152.6 points up at 22666.3, while BSE Sensex rose 494.28 points to 74742.5.

In the Nifty index, Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 4.33 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 3.58 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.22 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.53 per cent) and JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.26 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.96 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.57 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
