After being held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford, Man United saw themselves beaten by two late Cole Palmer goals against Chelsea as they fell to a 4-3 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

It was a similar tale against Jurgen Klopp's side on Sunday as despite going 1-0 down, Man United threw away a 2-1 lead as Mohamed Salah earned a late draw for Liverpool.

In those fixtures, Man United faced an eye-watering 87 shots in three games, but despite that, Ten Hag insists his side deserved to finish the week with a perfect record.

Speaking after the Liverpool game, Ten Hag said: “It’s more frustration after this week when you’ve got yourself into a winning position three times and then three times you give it away.
