Tesla Robotaxi to be unveiled on Aug 8, confirms CEO

The upcoming Tesla Robotaxi will be 'Cybertruck-like'.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, recently took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to announce that the EV maker will unveil a 'robotaxi' on August 8th.

As per reports, the robotaxi is said to be a vehicle designed from the ground up for autonomous driving. The next-generation self-driving vehicle is said to be devoid of any pedals or steering wheel.

The news of the Tesla Robotaxi comes after a report stating that the company scrapped its plans to develop a low-cost EV. As per the report, Tesla cancelled the 'Model 2', which was initially expected to sit below the Model 3 and be priced around $25,000.

Walter Issacson's biography on Elon Musk reportedly mentions that the upcoming Tesla Robotaxi will be 'Cybertruck-like'.
