Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Monday at 10:14AM

Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(up 4.18%), Oriental Trimex Ltd.(up 2.04%), KIOCL Ltd.(up 2.03%), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.(up 1.26%), NMDC Ltd.(up 0.58%), 20 Microns Ltd.(up 0.36%) and Coal India Ltd.(up 0.11%) were among the top gainers.

Ashapura Minechem Ltd.(down 1.14%), The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd.(down 0.52%), Pokarna Ltd.(down 0.20%), Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(down 0.11%) and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.(down 0.04%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 113.21 points up at 22626.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 413.46 points at 74661.68 at around 10:14AM.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.92%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.7%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.64%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.55%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.44%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.38%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.16%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.04%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.95%) and Cipla Ltd.(up 0.91%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.68%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.46%), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.72%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.56%), UPL Ltd.(down 0.31%), Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.19%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.19%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.18%), State Bank of India(down 0.07%) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.06%) were trading in the red.
