Kobbie Mainoo displayed how focussed and determined he is for success at Manchester United following another strong performance.

The 18-year-old scored an excellent curling strike for the Premier League giants in their 2-2 draw against rivals Liverpool on Sunday.

It was a goal that sums up his breakthrough season at United, with the teenager now integral to the side despite his age.

However for the third time in eight days, they failed to hold onto a late lead, with Mohamed Salah equalising in the 84th minute.

Mainoo recognises it's something that needs to change, with United applauding his mentality during his post-match interview.

"I feel second-half we pulled together and we figured things out and we were much, much better," he said, with a brain emoji included in the X post caption.

"But seeing out games is what is going to get us points and that's what's going to get us higher in the table. That's what going to win us games so these are the things that matter."

Having scored such a sensational first goal at Old Trafford, he would have been forgiven for showing his excitement in front of the media.

However, he remained calm and insisted that the team's result comes before personal achievement when speaking to Sky Sports.

"I mean, of course, it's an unbelievable feeling, first professional Old Trafford goal. And to do it in this fixture is also amazing.
