Forecast in detail

An area of high pressure building into the region keeps us sunny and nice today with slackening wind and temperatures nearer average than recently seen. In addition to the drier weather for the next few days, we can expect rising temperatures. We should break well into the 70s by Tuesday. Our next bigger weather maker arrives midweek.

Today (Sunday): It’s a pleasant end to the weekend with moderating temperatures and daytime highs in the upper 50s to low 60s most spots. With waning wind, it should feel pretty nice under partly to mostly sunny skies this afternoon. Enjoy! Confidence: High

Tonight: Dry conditions continue overnight with partly to mostly clear skies and overnight lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. Confidence: High

A look ahead

Tuesday should be dry and warm with afternoon temperatures soaring well into the 70s. We will have to monitor the forecast to see how high, but at this point high readings look to reach the mid- and upper 70s. Don’t forget the sunscreen, if you will be spending much time outdoors! Confidence: Medium

Cloud cover rolls in Tuesday night as we track our next storm system developing across the South and moving eastward. Confidence: Low

By Wednesday, it’s still warm with highs in the 70s, mostly cloudy skies and the chance for spotty showers during the afternoon or evening. Rain odds probably rise into Thursday as the low-pressure area closes in on the region. Confidence: Low
