Fenerbahce forfeited the Turkish Super Cup final in dramatic fashion after fielding the club's Under-19s side against rivals Galatasaray.

The youthful Yellow Canaries outfit conceded inside the first minute to Mauro Icardi's strike, before walking off the pitch in protest.

The dramatic protest ensured Galatasaray were handed the trophy, but the nature of the forfeit prevented any type of ceremony.

Fenerbahce followed through on their promise to leave their stars out of the game, which included former Premier League players Edin Dzeko and Dusan Tadic.

The Intercontinental Derby to decide the Turkish Super Cup has twice been postponed, having initially been set to take place last August.

It was then pushed back to December in Saudi Arabia, but both Fenerbahce and Galatasaray failed to show up to cause another suspension.
