Mohamed Salah overtakes Premier League legend with record-breaking goal against Man United

Mohamed Salah has now scored the most goals against Manchester United in Premier League history.

The Liverpool superstar stepped from the penalty spot to equalise for his side as they claimed a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford.

Harvey Elliott was brought down by Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the 82nd minute of the blockbuster clash.

And Salah took on the task of taking the spot-kick, finishing confidently past Andre Onana in the Man United goal.

The strike was important for the Reds in terms of their title hopes, but it was also a landmark strike for the Egyptian himself.

He has now scored 11 goals against Man United in the Premier League, more than any other player.

Alan Shearer was level with Salah on ten goals ahead of the game, but the Liverpool man has now leapfrogged the legend up to top spot.

Salah is also sitting above Sergio Aguero, Les Ferdinand and Robbie Fowler when it comes to strikes against the Red Devils.

His crucial goal at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon was his sixth at the stadium in the top flight. No visiting player has ever scored more than that.
