Ford wants a drive towards more electric vehicle-charging points across the country

Ford has called for more fast-charging points for electric vehicles to be installed, with the car maker also expressing its concern over the cost of charging at home here.

The plea for more charging points comes amid disappointing sales data in Ireland, with new electric cars down 14.2pc in the first three months of 2024.
