The resignation of leaders in the ruling ycp continues. Recently, Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal resigned from the post of MLC and YCP. He has written a letter to the party leader and chief minister YS jagan to this effect. In his letter, he stated that he was resigning from the primary membership of the party due to personal reasons.

Also, Mohammad Iqbal sent this mail along with a fax to the chairman of the council that he is resigning from the post of MLC. Although he has the post of MLC till march 2027, he has revealed that he is resigning from this post due to personal reasons. He urged the Legislative Council Chairman to accept his resignation immediately. It seems that he will join tdp within a week. He will wear the scarf in the presence of party leader Chandrababu.

However, in the last election, Mohammad Iqbal contested the Hindupur mla seat as a ycp candidate. He was defeated by tdp candidate Nandamuri Balakrishna. Later he was given the post of MLC. He was also appointed as the in-charge of the hindupuram Lok Sabha constituency. After a few days. party chief YS jagan removed the responsibilities of the in-charge of that constituency from him.. those responsibilities were handed over to a woman named Deepika. With this, Iqbal was sidelined.

It is reported that he was deeply distressed in that order. It seems that since then he has been staying away from party activities as much as possible. Besides.. the name was given to group politics in hindupuram YCP. It is reported that Iqbal was deeply upset with the politics of that group. It is known that Iqbal, who is a senior police officer, joined ycp after retirement.
