Rajkummar Rao impresses as a visually impaired Srikanth Bholla in next release 'Srikanth'

The story of Rajkummar Rao's next film 'Srikanth' is based on the life of industrialist Srikanth Bholla, who despite being visually impaired went on to establish Bollant Industries.

The very versatile Rajkummar Rao will soon be seen as a visually impaired man in his upcoming movie 'Srikanth'. The actor released the film's first motion poster, with text in English as well as Braille. The name of the film was also revealed via this poster. The filmmakers unveiled the first look of the much-awaited movie which also stars Jyotika, Alay F and Sharad Kelkar in important roles.

Sharing the first look of his upcoming movie, Rajkummar Rao wrote: "A journey that will inspire you to open your eyes! Aap sabka nazariya badalne aa raha hai #Srikanth. Releasing in cinemas on 10th May 2024."

National Award winning actor Rajkummar who is known for his remarkable performances in the past, does full justice to the role of Srikanth Bholla. In the first look, Rajkummar Rao's character Srikanth is seen crossing a finishing line of a track race and it shows his courage and determination to cross any hurdle life throws at him despite not being able to see the world.

Srikanth Bholla was an industrialist who defied all odds to became successful despite being visually impaired.

You can hear the famous song from Aamir Khan's debut movie "Papa Kehte Hain Bada Naam Karega" from 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'.  The song will make you nostalgic.

As soon as Rajkummar shared the first poster, his friend and actress Bhumi Pednekar wrote: "Love love love."

Mukesh Chabra wrote: "Yeh wala Rajkumar I was missing OG"

Tara Sutaria also dropped a heart emoji in the comment section.

Fans also dropped comments praising the actor and wished him luck for his big release.

The story of 'Srikanth' is inspired from the life of industrialist Srikanth Bholla, who despite being visually impaired went on to establish Bollant Industries.

Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, 'Srikanth - Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne' has been produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani.

Rajkummar is also shooting for his upcoming movie 'Mr and Mrs Mahi' with Janhvi Kapoor which is being directed by Sharan Sharma of 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl'.
