Rajasthan Royals’ Yuzvendra Chahal climbed to the top of the purple cap standings after he picked up two wickets in the match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday.
Chahal overtook Mohit Sharma and Mustafizur Rahman, who were sitting at the top with seven wickets each as joint-highest wicket-takers. The leg-spinner now has eight wickets to his name.
Mayank Yadav is now fourth on the leaderboard while RR’s Nandre Burger is the new entrant in the list - both have six wickets to their name.
