Osceola Magic basketball team finished the regular season with a 22-12 record, tying the best in franchise history and the second-best in the league this season.

"You do all the work during the season to put yourself in a position to have a chance at a championship. And you know, we've done that," Osceola Magic coach Dylan Murphy said. "So it's been a great week of preparation. Guys are ready to go. So you know we're excited for tomorrow."

The No. 1 seeding in the Eastern Conference earned the Osceola Magic a first-round bye, and they are starting their competition in the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Long Island Nets at 7 p.m. Long Island defeated the Capital City Go-Go 120-118 on Tuesday to advance to the league semifinals.

The Osceola Magic were led by guard Mac McClung, the two-time NBA All-Star Weekend slam-dunk champion who led the team and G League in scoring with 25.5 points per game.

But Murphy applauds his whole team for their togetherness.

"They play together," Murphy said. "And that's the biggest thing, especially in the G League. Obviously, everyone has individual goals. Our guys recognize that if we have team success, it'll make individual success. So, everyone's important to each other, and I'm really excited for our progress to get the championship."

Murphy said he believes a team's playoff seeding only says so much in a league where everyone wants to win.

"I don't think of us as the favorite or the underdog," he said. "I mean, the league was so close this year.

"Just the nature of the G League, kind of everyone has an underdog mentality," Murphy continued. "You know, I don't think anyone walks into this league thinking they're the man or they're the best team. You know, every single night you've got some great players, great teams. So now we're gonna respect our opponent. We're gonna play super hard and hope the results go our way."

Tickets remain available. If you can't get to the game, it will be broadcast on ESPNews.

The first 1,000 fans to come to the game will receive a free T-shirt.
