Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 27.00 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 11.38 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 6.69 crore), NHPC(number of shares traded: 4.45 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 4.16 crore), Indian Renewable(number of shares traded: 3.27 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 3.06 crore), Infibeam Avenues(number of shares traded: 2.92 crore), Zomato(number of shares traded: 2.29 crore) and RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 2.23 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:34AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 16.25 points down at 22418.4, while BSE Sensex was down 24.35 points at 73852.47 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, NTPC Ltd.(up 3.08 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 2.13 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.25 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.11 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.03 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 1.53 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
