Cole Palmer fires in unbelievable stoppage time double as Chelsea seal dramatic win over Man United in thriller

Cole Palmer scored twice in stoppage time to give Chelsea a stunning win over Manchester United in what will go down as one of the games of the season.

Chelsea took a 2-0 lead within 20 minutes thanks to a Conor Gallagher opener and a cool as you like Palmer penalty.

Man United then looked to have sealed a stunning comeback of their own as they hit back with two goals by Alejandro Garnacho and a header from Bruno Fernandes.

But it was the Blues who had the last laugh in a game that shaped out to be truly unpredictable.

Diogo Dalot gave away a penalty after bringing down Noni Madueke, which was converted by penalty specialist Palmer to bring the Blues level at 3-3.

But it wasn't over there.

With the game in its dying moments, Palmer then had the ball, unmarked, on the edge of Man United's area.

The 21-year-old sent in a deadly ball in the 11th minute of added time into the back of Andre Onana after hitting Scott McTominay on the way to seal a 4-3 victory.

The goal marked Palmer's first senior hat-trick and made history by becoming the latest ever Premier League goal scored. He's now made 24 goal involvements this term.
