Arsenal have issued a positive update on Frida Maanum's health after she collapsed against Chelsea last week.

There was a terrifying moment during the Women’s Continental League Cup Final on Sunday between Chelsea and Arsenal when Maanum collapsed on the pitch at Molineux.

Paramedics were rushed onto the pitch and the Arsenal ace required oxygen, before eventually being stretchered off.

The Gunners have since posted an update on her status after extensive tests and support from the medical team.

Two leading cardiologists have reviewed the results and concluded that there were no obvious cardiac causes found during investigations so far.

Maanum has been fitted with a monitoring device to record her heart function but she has been prevented from returning to normal training just yet.
