Honda Cars India appoints Ryuto Shimizu as Director, Marketing & Sales
Shimizu has been associated with Honda for over 25 years and has worked across several international markets during the span of his career including Japan, China, Thailand.
Ryuto Shimizu has assumed the office of Director, Marketing & Sales from 1 April, 2024, at Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL). He assumes the role previously held by Yuichi Murata, who has moved to Honda Mexico as President.
Shimizu has been associated with Honda for over 25 years and has worked across several international markets during the span of his career including Japan, China, Thailand.
He has worked across the domain of marketing & sales including product planning, overseas operations, business planning, among others. Prior to HCIL he was in-charge of the Business Planning Office at Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co. Ltd. from 2021-2023.
Honda Cars India (HCIL) registered monthly domestic sales of 7,142 units in February, recording a 17 percent year-on-year growth, compared to 6,086 units clocked in February 2023. The company says its latest entrant – Elevate – in India’s mid-size SUV segment has been maintaining a strong demand from buyers.
