Ball & Socket Arts will host “Party in the Pews,” a pilot concert series featuring pairings with musical guests. These concerts will take place: Saturday from 2 -4 p.m.; April 13, 7-9 p.m.; April 20, 7 -9 p.m.; and April 27, 7-9 p.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church,59 Main St., Cheshire. Parking is available on-site at the church and behind the school building next door

The series kicks off Saturday with a free Artist Talk by Susan Clinard paired with live jazz from Hank Bolden & friends. Susan The afternoon will begin with Clinard sharing details about her creation process, sources of inspiration, and what she’s making now. Audiences are encouraged to visit Clinard’s Workshop Gallery exhibition at Ball & Socket Arts before the talk to experience her sculptures firsthand. The Workshop Gallery is open from 12-4 p.m. Fri.-Sun. The exhibition closes April 7.

April 13, from 7-9 p.m. features a Ball & Socket Arts Sing Out, led by Brian Ember. Participants are encouraged to sing along with popular tunes from the last few decades. Song list is available for viewing at: ballandsocket.org/partyinthepews.

April 20, from 7-9 p.m. New Haven legends: Washboard Slim & the Bluelights will perform.

April 27, from 7-9 p.m., Local musical all-stars, Grant Eagleson and Joel Renker will play covers from The Beatles.

General admission for concerts is $10, $5 for students/seniors.
