Cole Palmer outdoing Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland in key area after Chelsea heroics

Cole Palmer now has more goal contributions than both Manchester City's Erling Haaland and Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham.

The Chelsea forward netted his first hat-trick in his side's last-ditch dramatic 4-3 victory over Manchester United, with his winning goal in the 11th minute of stoppage time being the latest goal in Premier League history.

But those feats weren't the only notable takeaways to emerge from Palmer's performance.

The 21-year-old now has the most goal contributions by under-23 players across Europe's top five leagues with 24 in total.

Meanwhile, Man City talismanic striker Haaland has 23.

Arsenal's Bukayo Saka ranks third with 21, who is level with Haaland's teammate Foden who also netted a hat-trick this week against Aston Villa.

England and Real Madrid superstar Bellingham has 21 goal contributions in his debut season in LaLiga, too.

Palmer couldn't quite believe he'd managed to fire in a stoppage time double to snatch victory for his side.

When asked what on earth had just happened on TNT Sports, he said: "I don't know. 2-0 up, but we made silly mistakes, but when we saw eight minutes, it gave us a left, and it was madness.

"To win like that was like nothing I've ever experienced.
