If Gus Poyet is the answer, then what is the question?
With sources close to the out-of-contract Greek manager insisting he was offered the chance to manage Ireland and remains interested – even though it’s plausible he stays where he is – we really are in a situation where it’s fair to cast doubt on the extent to which the FAI’s recruitment team are certain about what they are looking for.
