Stock market update: FMCG stocks down as market rises

NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks were trading lower on Wednesday at 10:34AM

Dangee Dums Ltd.(up 6.60%), Future Consumer Ltd.(up 5.89%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(up 4.79%), Zydus Wellness Ltd.(up 2.90%), LT Foods Ltd.(up 2.42%), ADF Foods Ltd.(up 1.19%), Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd.(up 0.92%), Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd.(up 0.72%), Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd.(up 0.61%) and Colgate-Palmolive(India)Ltd.(up 0.49%) were among the top gainers.

Nestle India Ltd.(down 2.59%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd.(down 1.77%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.42%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.15%), Jyothy Labs Ltd.(down 0.87%), Euro India Fresh Foods Ltd.(down 0.81%), Hatsun Agro Products Ltd.(down 0.76%), Emami Ltd.(down 0.75%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.71%) and Dodla Dairy Ltd.(down 0.70%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 0.41 points up at 22453.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 9.46 points at 73913.37 at around 10:34AM.

HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.96%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.72%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.42%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.41%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.37%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.17%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 0.96%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 0.95%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.93%) and Wipro Ltd.(up 0.84%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Nestle India Ltd.(down 2.61%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.41%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.29%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.15%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.03%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.97%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.96%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.9%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 0.84%) and JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.78%) were trading in the red.
