Residents in Longford have told of their “shock” and dismay at news the former boyfriend of local woman Sarah McNally has been charged with her murder.

Marcin Pieciak (36) was arrested and charged by New York detectives on Monday after Ms McNally was fatally stabbed inside the doors of The Céilí House pub, where she worked, in Maspeth, Queens, on Saturday evening.
