Section of Yampa River closed for construction

Efective today, a portion of the Yampa River will be temporarily inaccessible to boat traffic due to construction activities as part of the Yampa River Corridor Project.

The stretch of the river from the Pebble Beach access point to down river of the active project area at the City of Craig diversion dam will be closed until further notice.

Boaters must take out at Pebble Beach to avoid the construction zone. All tubers, boater, kayakers, canoers, fishermen and others are prohibited from trespassing within the construction zone.

The Yampa River public access points at Loudy-Simpson park will open this spring and remain available for all boaters, including the newly constructed boat ramp and parking area made possible by the Yampa River Corridor Project.
