The Connecticut Community Foundation awarded ASAP! $7,500 in support of arts-infused educational program at The Childrens Community School in Waterbury.
Funds enabled ASAP! to provide three in-school programs this year: Creative Movement for grades K-2 in collaboration with Pilobolus; the Metamorphosis Project, a science and art-integration program and nature field trip for grades 3-5; and Mighty Writers, aimed at increasing writing and literacy skills for fourth graders. ASAP!’s in-school educational programs integrate the creative process with academics, opening the door to self discovery, meaningful connection and joyful learning.
