Meghan Trainor whipped out a pair of Charles & Keith leather platform sandals while attending the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday.
First launching in 2014, theiHeartRadio Music Awards is an annual event that has celebrated the most-played artists and songs on iHeartRadio stations and the iHeartRadio app. Hosted by Ludacris, the 2024 honorees included Beyoncé, who received the Innovator Award, and Cher, who received the 2024 Icon Award. Performers included: TLC, Latto, Green Day, Justin Timberlake and others.
This isn’t the first time Trainor has chosen to wear platform shoes for red carpet events. In August 2023, the star attended the 2023 Streamy Awards in a pair of platform-soled boots that totaled at least 4 inches in height and were rounded out by thick black soles and block heels. In October 2022, the entertainer participated in the “Barbiecore” trend by wearing tall hot pink 6-inch chunky platform boots while on the “Today” show today to perform her new single “Made You Look.”
About the shoes
Trainor’s Charles & Keith platform shoes were made with genuine leather and a sleek finish. A tall shoe with a chunky heel that measures at roughly 5 inches, both the lining and sole material were lined with PU, completed by a slim ankle buckle strap present on the back of the shoe for fastening. The shoes are designed to fit true-to-size and have a standard width measurement. Multiple colors are available aside from the light pink color worn by Trainor at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, including silver, gold and black. Pricing starts at $93.
