A North Little Rock police officer has been placed on administrative leave after shooting a suspect over the weekend.
At about 11:45 p.m. Saturday, North Little Rock officers responded to the Jefferson Manor Apartments at 2600 Ashley Drive in reference to a group of suspicious people who were reported carrying firearms. The officers made contact with the group and an officer fired at least one shot, according to a press release from the police department.

One person was shot and was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
