Planning a night in? Here are today’s top TV and streaming picks:

Aldi’s Next Big Thing Channel 4, 8pm Food and drink producers get a priceless opportunity to pitch their wares to Aldi executives, including Stormzy’s personal chef, who’s made ready-meal versions of the singer’s favourite dinners. We also meet an event caterer who’s come up with a colourful spin on the burger.

Aldi’s Next Big Thing

Home of the Year RTÉ One, 8.30pm This week, Hugh Wallace, Sara Cosgrove and Amanda Bone visit a lovingly restored 300-year-old Wicklow cottage, a 1920s terraced house in Dublin city, and an eclectic new-build in Co Louth. Sort Your Life Out BBC1, 9pm Stacey Solomon and the team have their work cut out when they meet Martin and Shirley Wellen, serial hoarders whose cluttered house contains 306 soft toys, 106 spanners, 189 out-of-date food items, and a bedroom that has stayed the same for more than 40 years.

Sort Your Life Out

Creed RTÉ2, 9.30pm Entertaining reboot starring Michael B Jordan as Adonis Creed, son of the late heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, who tracks down his dad’s old friend and rival Rocky Balboa and asks him to become his trainer. With Tessa Thompson, Sylvester Stallone.

The Magic Prank Show Netflix, streaming now It’s a magic prank show landing on April Fools’ Day. Not much else you need to know, apart from that the magician in question Phil Dunphy-ing up the place is one Justin Willman.

Is It Cake?

Is It Cake? Netflix, streaming now The hit series returns with a new batch of bakers who better be a whizz at buffing out those telltale fingerprints peppered across ALL the fondant. Expect larger cakes, loftier stakes, and crazier bakes (all of which you’ll see revealed if you watch the trailer, so do avoid) as Netflix further pushes the boundaries of culinary craftsmanship, creating hyper-realistic cakes for cash. Next Goal Wins Disney+, streaming now Michael Fassbender, Oscar Kightley, Kaimana, Rachel House, Will Arnett, and Elisabeth Moss star in this comedy based on the true tale of the American Samoa soccer team. In more heartfelt footballing fair, there’s also The Beautiful Game streaming on Netflix, featuring Bill Nighy and Michael Ward.

STEVE! (Martin)

STEVE! (Martin) AppleTV+, streaming now Everything is cyclical. For you see, back in the 1960s, all comedy was political. The person who broke that mould, making stand-up ‘silly’ again, was one man, his banjo, and his patented ‘arrow through head’ band. Today, he is one of the more sophisticated silly men on TV thanks to his turn on the brilliant OMITB. Morgan Neville directs this two-parter, featuring ALL the archival footage with added Jerry Seinfeld, Tina Fey, and (of course) Martin Short.

Freaknik Disney+, streaming now Buckle up for “the wildest party never told” as recounted by those who were dancing in the streets of 1990s Atlanta like no one was watching — namely Killer Mike, Lil Jon, Jermaine Dupri, and Rasheeda. What started as a celebration of joy, determination, excellence and enterprise descended into something decidedly more debauched.

Madu

Madu Disney+, streaming now Anthony Madu is something of a Billy Elliot — if you swapped Durham for the outskirts of Lagos. This touching documentary follows him as he leaves his community in Nigeria to study at one of the world’s most prestigious ballet schools in England.

A Gentleman in Moscow Paramount+, streaming now Ewan McGregor stars as a Russian aristocrat who is spared from death — only to be placed on house arrest while the Bolshevik Revolution plays out.
